Here are just a few of the things you can see and do

Gretna - the world famous township where thousands of weddings still take place over the anvil every year.

There are several 18-hole golf courses near by including Powfoot, Lockerbie and Dumfries.

The area has it's fair share of historic Castles, Hoddam, Comlongon, Caerlavrock and the beautiful Ruins of Sweetheart Abbey, are all a short drive.

Travel south to the historic city of Carlisle with its Castle, Museum and Cathedral.

There are numerous Fishing and Game shooting opportunities in nearby lochs, rivers and along the Solway coast.

Mabie Forest and Farm Park. Set in beautiful surroundings this well landscaped activity farm has a superb adventure park suitable for all ages and the forest has numerous walkways.

Moffat is very popular with visitors, it has a beautiful park with a boating pond and play areas for children, with water features and putting. Moffat regularly wins 'best kept village' in the 'Britain in bloom' awards, not to mention Moffat Toffee!

1-2 hrs drive north takes you to Scotland's main cities of Edinburgh and Glasgow, both steeped with historical beauty and excellent shopping. The Galloway Coast leads you to Stranraer and Caimryan will take you cross to Ireland.

Venture south to the equally beautiful Lake District and unspoilt countryside, offering pleasant walks and breathtaking views.

The Devil's Porridge Exhibition sited in Eastriggs is a celebration of the women and men who came to work at HM Factory, Gretna and the tremendous impact they has on the small, rural community they came into.

Westland is a family fun park approximately 2 miles from Eastriggs and has Quad Safaris, Go Karts for adults and children, Paintball games, Archery, Clay shooting, Fly and Corse fishing.
